The REACH Foundation Nigeria is excited to announce the grand unveiling of the newly renovated Cheshire Home in Borikiri, Port Harcourt. This collaborative project initiated by Dash Me foundation, solely funded by Afro-fusion sensation Burna Boy aims to support the physically challenged individuals within the community. The event is scheduled to take place on the 1st of March at 12pm, marking a significant milestone in the revival of this vital institution.
Cheshire Home has long been a pillar of support for the physically challenged in Port Harcourt and its surrounding areas. Unfortunately, years of neglect and poor maintenance led to a decline in its functionality, posing challenges for its beneficiaries.
“After seven months of dedicated hard work, it is our pleasure to have you share this transformational moment with us as we unveil the brand new Cheshire Home located at Borikiri, Port Harcourt on the 1st of March at 12pm,” expressed Halliday Floretta, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at The REACH Foundation Nigeria.
Burna Boy, known for his passion for social impact, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “I am honoured to be part of this meaningful endeavour to restore hope and dignity to the physically challenged individuals in our community. Together with The REACH Foundation Nigeria, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.”
In July 2023, The REACH Foundation Nigeria, in partnership with Afro-fusion sensation Burna Boy, embarked on an ambitious project to breathe new life into Cheshire Home. The extensive renovation aimed not only to restore the physical infrastructure but also to reignite hope and well-being among its beneficiaries.
The unveiling ceremony, scheduled for the 1st of March, promises to be a momentous occasion as the community comes together to celebrate the revitalization of this vital institution.
