It was a glitzy affair at the screening of Burna Boy’s new documentary titled “WHISKEY”  recently held in London on December 6, 2022. 

The screening which was attended by the African giant himself — Burna Boy, his manager, Bose Ogulu and other dignitaries, is a testament to the deep connection that the Afrofusion singer  has with his roots.

Announcing the official release date of the documentary as Thursday December 8, 2022 at 7pm WAT via his social media platforms, Burna Boy’s ‘’Whiskey’’ — the documentary,  is an unfiltered reflection of the ills of the society, its impact on the people of the Niger Delta and the effects, if unchecked, these ills will cause in the near future. In putting forward this expose, Burna Boy shows his philanthropic side through contributions from non-governmental organizationsorganizations including  his  own personal platform — REACH NG, towards curbing this menace by helping the vulnerable in the society, at the same time, highlighting the ways in which these hazards can be averted.

Burna Boy who’s known for his staggering musical diversity, his passion for his Nigerian roots, his themes of spirituality and reality, has always been vocal about key moments in his life, his lifelong goals — with philanthropy at its center, as well putting Nigeria and Africa on the  global stage.
